Summary
Nikola Corporation (Nikola) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tre BEV vehicles. A resistor may degrade, causing the instrument panel to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
Consequence
An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the instrument panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 22, 2024. Owners may contact Nikola customer service at 1-630-808-4531. Nikola's number for this recall is 24VDC0903.
